Colour and print affects your mood; it can create a sense of calm, it can invigorate or inspire. However when you get it wrong the effect can be jarring. Our colour specialist Jemima, can help you achieve harmony between the colours, light, space and furnishings in your home.
Your family, your colour preferences and your home are unique and décor is a very personal thing. Jemima will give you the inspiration and advice you need, in the comfort of your own home where you can see exactly how factors such as light influence your perceptions of colour.
For example, the light in east facing rooms can appear to be a little blue so it is best to work with this and choose greens or blues. To create as much light as possible but still retain some warmth, look at pale neutral colours such as Museum no. 151 or Chiswick no. 100 by Mylands which will really come alive in the morning sunlight.

- Following the consultation you will receive a written specification detailing colours, finishes etc for each room.
- Up to four rooms can be covered in a one hour session and paint and wallpaper samples are provided for each recommended scheme.

Early morning, or cool daylight absorbs coolness making colours appear warmer. Because the light will change so dramatically through the day it is often good to team these with a darker more sumptuous tones on woodwork or furniture such as Truffle or Sage so that the walls appear lighter in contrast.
Using her extensive knowledge of the various colour palettes within the paint brands and wallpaper collections, Jemima can suggest colour schemes and offer decorative advice to create a beautifully curated scheme for you.
Sometimes it is better not to fight nature in a dark room. Instead work with it, and use strong dark colours such as a warm chocolatey muscovado by Little Greene or Powder 5 by Paint and Paper Library to create drama and intimacy..
